(When Process becomes Form: Dansaekhwa and Korean abstraction)>에 참여한다.

Major Dansaekhwa artists will participate in the exhibition When Process becomes Form: Dansaekhwa and Korean abstraction at the Boghossian Foundation’s Villa Empain in Brussels from February 20 to April 24, 2016. Following the success of Dansaekhwa at the 2015 Venice Biennale, Kukje Gallery has joined hands with the Boghossian Foundation to bring about this high-profile exhibition. This presentation is curated by Sam Bardaouil and Till Fellrath, founders of Art Reoriented a multidisciplinary curatorial platform based in Munich and New York. Featuring about fifty works from 1970’s and 80’s of Dansaekhwa’s leading proponents: Park Seo-Bo, Chung Sang-Hwa, Ha Chong-Hyun, Lee Ufan, Kim Whanki, Chung Chang-Sup and Kwon Young-Woo, the exhibition seeks to explore the trace of the Dansaekhwa movement and highlight it through the eyes of “Korean Modernism.” Furthermore, a professional archive room containing an extensive collection of Dansaekhwa books, exhibition catalogues, posters, and resources will be prepared to aid the understanding of the movement’s history.
